Louie and Luna were rescued separately but found each other at the shelter. They became inseparable! As you can see, they are in love! Louie and Luna met at STAR Rescue in Gainesville, FL – it was love at first sight. They clung to each other and wouldn’t let go. Their human dad, James, said Luna is an orange tabby and Louie is an orange and brown Maine Coon.
James adopted them both and knew that the two were extremely close. He said that is was clear that the cats liked each other more than they liked their new human family.
James and his girlfriend had been at the shelter looking for a dog but brought home Louie and Luna instead. James said that since he and his girlfriend both work full-time jobs and they live in an apartment, cats seemed like a better option.
James has had cats his whole life and knew exactly what his new felines would need to be happy and comfortable. Once James’ girlfriend saw Luna, she was in love.
Two weeks later, they went back to the shelter and Luna was still there. But, Luna wasn’t leaving without Louie.
The couple decided to foster Louie – but within hours they realized that Luna and Louie were inseparable. The couple knew that they couldn’t get rid of Louie – Louie became an official member of the family a week later.
James said the two cats do everything together. Rescue cats are generally more loving and appreciative to their adoptive humans, especially if they lived in a shelter for a long time.
